We come to the Christmas time of the year. It is my objective to consider three people, Mary, Joseph, and Jesus. It is my desire to read a little of what the Bible has to say about them, and in the end of it all, contemplate what it means for this time of year.
When you think about it, much of what we do in this life is for a future event. But, there is nothing wrong with preparation. It is, then, my objective to address the subject of being ready.
I propose unto you that all men, everywhere, as creatures of God made in His image, owe allegiance to Him. It is my objective to look into our text to prove this very thing and to remind you and me that we ought to submit to God.
With this time of year upon us, I thought it fitting to address the matter of thanksgiving. Not the history of this holiday, rather, I would take this occasion to extend a reminder to give thanks.
Does it matter what fashion a person believes? In other words, does it make a difference if belief is a head knowledge or a heart knowledge?
You are highly likely to be like those with whom you associate and your living will be most like that conduct which you regularly experience. Therefore, I wish to speak to you about exposure.
In my opinion, what we have in our text, is a prescription for revival. Psalm 86:5 says, "Wilt thou not revive us again?" I thought that it would do us well to think about revival.
The fact is, sometimes close is admirable, and close is better than far away, but close isn't close enough. To be close is to fail. It is my objective to discuss this issue of being close, and I will address three areas today.
