  • Draw Near

Has true heart-felt emotion and spiritual feeling all but disappeared?  We are told to draw near to God.  It is my objective to consider this topic afresh and anew.  It is my desire to stir the coals, re-light the pilot, and warm the heart.

  • Some Believed

Our text tells us that some believed.  It is my objective to review the subject, hopefully, to gain the ear of the lost and to effect a softening of the heart.

  • More Than Expected

Our text speaks of some ladies who got more than they expected.  It is my objective to express these truths and make application.  Further, as we consider the resurrection of Jesus, I submit that we get more than expected.

  • April’s Fool

Today is April Fool's Day.  I would like to consider some people who are classified as fools.  In doing so, I would like to point out three elements found in the first sentence of our text.

  • Come Boldly

My objective is to consider the freedom to enter into the presence of God and the liberty to speak freely.  I would encourage every believer to turn to the Lord; bring any request you have to Him.  You can come before Him, and you can come boldly.

  • Bow or Burn

With the direction our society is going, it is highly likely that you will one day be put to the test.  You will be forced to affirm or deny Jesus.  When that day comes, remember this passage and reflect upon these three men, and find courage to stand for Jesus.

  • Love One Another

It is my objective to look into our text and a few related verses and see, once again, what true love is.  Of course, I am not talking about the fleshly, animalistic, erotic sort of love, I am speaking about genuine love.  I think of divine love - agape love.

  • Serve Well

The parable before us tells of ten people who received an obligation and who were held accountable.  It is my objective to encourage every believer to take personal assessment and evaluate what type of servant you are.  I encourage you to serve well.

  • Stress

Stress.  All people experience stress, and we don't always correctly respond to it.  In our text, Paul speaks of the stress which came upon him and how he dealt with it.  My objective is to learn from Paul's experience and apply his principles for dealing with stress.
