The two verses not only deal with human relationships, they also mention man's relationship to God. I intend to mention the human lesson on forgiveness, but my objective is to emphasize the forgiveness which comes from God.
I believe there are many benefits to being a part of a church and great value of having a church present in the community. For me, the church is an important place. It is my objective to give you some reasons why you should care about the church.
We are all familiar with death. Of course, people die for a myriad of reasons. I would like to consider one man who died, not by accident, but on purpose. One whose death was a great loss but at the same time, the greatest gain.
We are once again at the holiday of Thanksgiving. Indeed we are blessed! May I say that it is proper for us to give thanks to God. But of the many blessings, there is one that far exceeds the rest.
It seems that a large majority of society is ungrateful. Many are ungracious and never utter a word of thanks. I am persuaded that we have learned different. We know that God has blessed us. We express gratitude to God. I submit it is proper to say "Thank you, Lord."
I truly believe that we dodged a bullet in this election. It is my objective that we learn from Israel's past so as not to incur future judgment. God has granted us a "second chance." Let us not squander this opportunity.
The villain is death. The hero is God. Our text reveals both. It is my objective to review this historical occasion, gleaning some lessons on death, but more so, to discover the spiritual lessons illustrated by our story.
The national election looms over us. I submit we are on the cusp of losing our Christian liberties. Danger lurks around the corner. So, how do we respond? This is my concern.
