We often present how a sinner can be saved but we sometimes fail to present why they need to be saved. Until a sinner recognizes their guilt and admits they are lost, they will not be saved.
In thinking about the Gospel, I wish to give you the truth. I will do so in simple fashion.
The Bible is God's Word. Since this is so, we should respond to the Word. Our reading tells of future events. These things are true. How will you respond?
Our text speaks of Paul in the midst of those who thought they were seeking after God. I make the assumption that you also are seeking God.
It is my objective to speak on the subject of peace. Sinner, may you find peace with God. Saint, my there be peace in your heart, not only toward God, but throughout your life.
A substitute is someone who takes the place of. I submit to you that there is One Who took our place!
The subject of Hell is not a beloved topic. But, the Bible teaches that Hell is real, with real flame, with real suffering. It also teaches that those in Hell will possess a physical body, confirming the reality of Hell.
I wish to look into our text and consider that man had the next best opportunity which could ever come along. But, he failed, and he lost out. However, there is a greater opportunity which remains.
The Bible teaches Jesus is coming back to Earth. Our text tells a story of how the goodman of the house goes on a long journey but shall one day return.
