    There isn't any doubt that life is difficult. Just because we are Christians doesn't mean that trials will not fall across our path. Without question, all of us are hurting in some fashion. Therefore, I would like to offer some words of encouragement.

    Most of you have a fence around your property or yard. The fence has two purposes: to keep out animals and uninvited people, and, to keep a pet or a child in. I submit that God has His "fences" and we should be glad He does.

    There is a great peril facing the wicked. Therefore, a clear warning should be sounded in the hearts of all lost people. For, without the declaration of the gospel message, those who are perishing, will indeed, perish.

    Each one of us has a concern for others. In fact, we would find it negligent if a danger is present and we do nothing to warn the unwary potential victim. We should then warn them about spiritual harm. Yes, danger awaits all unbelievers.

    Our reading speaks of change. It is fair to expect a declaration of change to be manifested by...change. I want to make it very clear. I want to make it known. God has changed my life!

    I would like to remind you that one of these days our Beloved One will be coming back. There should be a longing for Jesus which exceeds any earthly passion for awaited arrivals.

    Aren't you glad for forgiveness? Do you joy in the fact that you are a sinner saved by grace? I would like to talk to you today about the forgiveness which God gives.

    Without a doubt God has blessed us in many ways. Of course, His blessings come in "all shapes and sizes." So, we have a tendency to categorize our blessings into good, better, and best. I would like to talk about one of your tremendous blessings, perhaps, the greatest.

    The Bible doesn't seem to be as important as it once was. In many churches the Word of God has been watered down or eliminated. I believe our text will remind us of the importance of the Bible and the emphasis it should have in our assemblies.
