  • Things To Be Forgotten

Although this time of year has the emphasis upon remembrance, today's message will be in the antithesis.  As much as there are things we should never forget, there are things we need to forget.  It is, therefore, my objective to mention the need to remember, but then pursue the necessity of forgetfulness.

  • God Be Merciful To Me A Sinner

Our text elicits two core views among men.  The first is the epitome of self-righteousness; the second is the example of one who recognizes his unrighteousness.  My objective is to consider this passage revealing its truths for the unbelieving sinner, yet further, making application of these thoughts to the believing sinner.

  • Who Is Jesus

Have you ever wondered Who Jesus is?  Why all the fuss?  If not, you should.  Ask yourself, "Who is Jesus?" and then consider your answer.  They basically asked the same question two thousand years ago.  Our text is just one portion where the Bible deals with this topic.

  • Personal Commitment

If I were to ask you today, "What is your level of commitment to Jesus?"  What would your answer be?  It is a telling question isn't it?  It is my objective to consider our text and the subject of personal commitment.

  • The Reality of the Resurrection of Jesus

Today is a special day.  It is resurrection Sunday.  We come today to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.  But not everyone believes it is so.  Some deny His death.  Some deny His resurrection.  It is my intention to demonstrate unto you the reality of the resurrection of Jesus.

  • The Next Best Opportunity Squandered

It is my objective to look into our text and consider that man had the next best opportunity which could ever come along.  But, he failed to handle things properly and lost out.  However, there is a greater opportunity which remains.

  • A Call to the Nation

A lesson from the kings of Israel and Judah: despite the continual rejection of God by His people, God still sent prophets to preach the truth and to warn of coming judgment.  It is my objective to look into our text (and other passages), glean valuable practical points, and then make a clear application.
