Many of us tend to ignore the instructions or operating manual. Sad thing is that many people do that to the Bible too. As a result, the Bible is neglected. Whether you are a Christian or not, it is a mistake to neglect the Bible.
Everyday we are exposed to decisions. What is the Christian to do about the decisions which face them? How are we to handle those minor, those major, yes, even those life-altering decisions?
God gave us doctrine. Doctrine is important. As we shall soon see, doctrine is to be maintained even if the miracles say otherwise.
All of us knows what a Christian testimony is. May it be our desire, as children of God, to behave ourselves as His children. May we live up to the family name.
We can learn from the Old Testament (Romans 15:4). If the text is unfamiliar, there is a possibility of learning a New Testament truth through this Old Testament text.
Today, if your circumstances are overwhelming. Or, if the images of the past week haunt you. Or, if, for whatever reason, you are discouraged. This message is for you.
Sometimes we start things but fail to finish well. How sad it would be to pursue an objective, only to come short of the achievement. So it is, what a shame if you should desire Heaven and seek after God, pursue eternal rest, only to fall short. I don't want any of you to fall short of Heaven.
I would like to talk to you about humility. Permit me to ask, is it wrong to be convicted and led of the Spirit? I say it is a good thing to be humbled before our loving Lord.
Our text tells us of a man who tried to avoid God. The sad thing is, you have probably tried it yourself. I know I have. May we be reminded of the error and the danger of trying to avoid God.
Are you going through some sort of trial or tribulation? In our text we have the forewarning of Jesus to Peter about the coming denial. In this dialogue I believe we can find comfort.
