Month: January 2014

  • This Christ

Our text focuses on Christ and emphasizes His work.  Then, the impact of Jesus and His provision is made clear.  It is my desire to speak to you from this text concerning "this Christ."

  • Love and Kindness

My friends, we live in a cold, dark, world.  Our society reflects the prophecy that the "love of many shall wax cold."  It is my objective to consider our response to those around us, by looking into our passage, and gleaning the truths which teach us to show love and kindness.

  • The Light of the Word

We often hear about famine in certain areas around the world.  But, I submit, a greater famine exists, that of the Word of God.  My objective is for each of us to have a greater desire for the Word.  May we read it, study it, love and cherish it.

  • Forgetting Those Things Which Are Behind

As we begin a new year, I propose that we not only need to look forward, but also backward, in some degree.  Have you learned from past experiences?  At the same time, be careful not to live in the past.  Before we reflect back and look ahead, may we glean some lessons from the Apostle Paul.
