"How do you eat an elephant?" Of course, the answer is, "One bite at a time!" It is my objective to extend encouragement to you, by reminding you that ALL the days of your life will only come one at a time.
It is my objective to consider the subject of the Lord's will. Although our text offers a fleeting consideration, I believe there is enough here to turn our thoughts toward God and to reflect upon His will.
I thought it well to extend encouragement. I am going to take a glimpse of God in which you should find hope. At the same time, those of you who are lost might see Who God is, and repent.
It is my objective to turn your thoughts toward the subject of revival. Perhaps the Lord will use this to warm your heart, to soften your spirit, to open your eyes, and to prepare you to receive the revival you have sought.
In the machine shop, all of the tools for inspection are checked for accuracy on a regular basis. This is called calibration. Christians need to be calibrated. It is, then, my objective to remind you to make self-examination, with the Lord as our standard.
Jesus told us that in this life we shall have tribulation, but that we should not fear, for He has overcome the world (John 16:33). Sometimes that is not an easy thing to do, so we become afraid. May God's grace rest upon us so that we would have an attitude of trust in the living God.
Most of the time in our witnessing we will utilize the New Testament. But, sometimes we will bump into those who reject the New Testament, such as the orthodox Jew. It, then, is necessary that we could speak about Jesus from the Old Testament.
I don't know about you but nearly everyone I speak with believes in God. However, is simple faith in the existence of God sufficient to carry us to Heaven? Our text demands that we have more than just a belief in the Father.
If we should offer hope to the condemned, we must have a reason, and that reason is the love and mercy of God. Amid all the attributes of God, you will find the benevolent side of God. It is my objective to emphasize that aspect of who God is.
