  • The Wicked Caretakers and the Cornerstone

My dear friend, perhaps you have yet to bow your knee to Jesus. You cannot contend with Almighty God. But the One you have rejected is the One to Whom you must yield. Christ alone is your answer. Please learn from this parable concerning the wicked caretakers and the Cornerstone.

  • This Universe

A quick observation of society reveals that there is a debate over the origin of the universe. As Christians, we maintain the truth of the biblical account for the origin and development of our universe. It is my objective to discuss the Bible view of this universe.

  • Call to Repentance

There is an evangelistic approach of watering down the Gospel truth and plea by utilizing a method called easy-believism. The seeking soul is told to simply believe on Jesus. It is the "seeker friendly" approach. "Only believe!" is the message. True biblical evangelism is more than a call to believe. It is also a call to repentance.

  • Ritual, Reform, or Regeneration?

We must admit that the human creature is religious oriented. Man is drawn to worship something. But among the religions of the world, we know Christianity is the only truth. Yet, not all of the time as the Gospel is presented, is the response conforming to biblical standards.

  • One Thing

All Christians should have an objective or goal for his/her life. That objective should be to pursue the Lord. David, in our text, expresses a desire to follow God; notice how the "house of the Lord" is referenced.

  • For Whom the Bell Tolls

John Donne wrote, "Each man's death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee." We are affected my other men's misery. But we also should not be surprised at the ambulance siren, for it shall sound, and one day it might well sound for us.

  • Some Characteristics of a Father

What we find in our text immediately follows that "mountaintop" experience called the Transfiguration. I want to draw your attention to a very important figure but one who remains in the shadows and is usually overlooked. Is there not a father found here?

  • Comfort Concerning Kumiko

Forty years ago Kumiko Toma was killed in a car wreck. When I was told of her passing the first thing that came to my mind was Psalm 116:15. For this reason I have chosen to expound this text in memory of Kumiko.

  • Think On These Things

There are multitudes of stimuli which bombard us every day. Each, of which, has an impact upon us. Much has little impact, but many things impress us strongly. Who we are, is what we are, in our heart. Therefore, we need to guard our heart and the influence upon it.

  • The Sacrifice of Jesus

Sometimes the word sacrifice is misused. The term carries a more significant meaning than what many people place upon it. This Memorial Day we honor those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. I would remind you of another Who sacrificed His life for us.
