Our reading (Revelation 22:18-19) issues a warning against those who mishandle the Word of God. Truth is, we have a tendency to pick and choose what to believe or follow. Our text describes an occasion in which the people of Israel evidence selective hearing. May we not be found guilty of these very things.
The Bible says "the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness;" (I Corinthians 1:18). The fact is, if not for the grace of God, a lost person will despise and reject God's Word. It is, then, my objective to consider this subject today.
Independence Day is upon us. It is that time of year when we think of freedom. I am definitely glad for our liberties in this nation, but I would like to ask, "What is true freedom?"
