  Dear sinner, if you are going to be forgiven of your sin and have a home in heaven, you must repent and believe on Jesus Christ. It is then, my objective to discuss this matter of true belief.

  If you cut anything, you want to cut straight. That is what we desire of our doctor isn't it? Our text uses a term which employs this analogy. Let us not be haphazard in our surgery of the Scripture, rather, let us be good Bible surgeons.

  We often speak of people who depart from this life as doing so in the midst of their condition. For example, we might say, "He died a pauper." Our text deals with the spiritual condition of man in the event of his death. It is my objective to look into our text and receive the warning which is extended by Jesus.
